I've gushed about the Globe Prepaid Home WIFI, which was launched earlier this year (read all about it in this blog post), as it gave Filipinos a more affordable option to get an internet connection. In the same blog post, I also teased you about the new Globe At Home app, which helps users activate their free 10GB of data, track total data usage consumed by those connected to the device and check your prepaid balance, as well as load additional data allocation and boost surfing enjoyment by easy registration to HomeSurf promos. The app also notifies users once their data allocation has been consumed.

If you have yet to setup your Globe At Home app, let me walk you through the easy process:

Setup

1. Start by entering your Prepaid Home WiFi Number found at the back of the modem.

2. Get the 4-digit verification code sent to the SMS tab of your modem dashboard via 192.168.1.1 and enter it on the app. To get the verification code, ensure you are connected to your Prepaid Home WiFi. Open your browser and enter 192.168.1.1 on the address bar, login using your username and password found on your modem, and click the SMS tab for the verification code.

3. Authenticate by typing the username and password found at the bottom of the Prepaid WiFi device. You can also click skip verifying via 192.168.1.1 by clicking "Skip for now" then clicking "Proceed."

4. Customize your profile by adding a photo and nickname.

5. Activate your free 10GB of data and enjoy your freebie immediately! You can check your data usage on your personalized homescreen as well as the Data Duck Screen (where a rubber duckie literally indicates how much data you have left, lol, as well as how much load you have and when it expires).

Adding load and promos

1. Get more data by choosing from any of the Surf Promos. Note that HomeSurf 15 can only be availed after subscribing to GoSurf50 (the bare minimum). No need for GoSurf50 if you are availing HomeSurf 349 and HomeSurf 599. Note the validity of each promo you subscribe to so you are able to maximize your data.

Globe At Home's most affordable 1GB data promo ever is just P15, HomeSURF15. Exclusively available through the Globe At Home App, users can enjoy this offer on top of their existing GoSURF50 subscription. Heavier data users can also enjoy bigger data allocations like 10GB of data for P349, valid for 10 days; and an extra 15GB of data for P599, valid for 30 days.

2. A notification will be sent via SMS to confirm if you'll be using Share-A-Promo (sharing load using your Globe Prepaid or Postpaid account). Reply YES within 5 minutes to proceed. P1.00 will be charged per transaction. The promo will immediately display as requested.

You can add several mobile numbers to your Globe At Home account, so every member of the family can track the Prepaid WiFi's remaining data and load, as well as reload and subscribe to HomeSurf promos as needed.
