Vajiralongkorn (Thai: วชิราลงกรณ; RTGS: Wachiralongkon , pronounced [wá.tɕʰí.rāː.lōŋ.kɔ̄ːn]; born 28 July 1952) is the King of Thailand. After completing his studies, Vajiralongkorn served as a career officer in the Royal Thai Army. Accession to the throne

In 1996, 2 years afterward the wedding, Mom Sujarinee (equally she was now known) decamped to Britain with all her children, while Vajiralongkorn caused posters to be placed all around his palace accusing her of committing adultery with Anand Rotsamkhan, a 60-year-old air marshal.[86] After, the prince abducted the daughter and brought her back to Thailand to live with him. She was afterward elevated to the rank of princess, whilst Sujarinee and her sons were stripped of their diplomatic passports and imperial titles. Sujarinee and her sons moved to the U.s., and equally of 2007, she was known equally Sujarinee Vivacharawongse.[87]

Srirasmi Suwadee

Vajiralongkorn married for a third time on 10 February 2001, to Srirasmi Suwadee (royal proper name: Akharaphongpreecha), a commoner of small-scale background who had been in his service since 1992. The marriage was non disclosed to the public until early 2005. She gave nativity to a son, Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti, on 29 April 2005 and was then elevated to the rank of princess. Her son was immediately elevated to the rank of prince. In a mag interview shortly after that, Vajiralongkorn stated his intention to settle downward.[88]

In November 2014, still, Vajiralongkorn sent a letter of the alphabet to the interior ministry building asking for Princess Srirasmi's family unit to be stripped of the royal proper noun Akharaphongpreecha awarded to her, following allegations of corruption against seven of her relatives.[89] The post-obit month, Srirasmi relinquished her royal titles and the regal proper name and was officially divorced from Vajiralongkorn. She received 200 meg baht (US$5.5 million) as a settlement. They had been married for 13 years.[ commendation needed ]

Suthida Tidjai

On 1 May 2019, 3 days before his coronation, Vajiralongkorn married Suthida Tidjai, erstwhile acting commander of Royal Thai Adjutant-de-Camp Section.[90] Suthida was therefore fabricated the queen consort of King Vajiralongkorn[90] [91] whose coronation took place in Bangkok on 4–6 May 2019.[92] The marriage registration took identify at the Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall in Bangkok, with his sis Princess Sirindhorn and President of Privy Council Prem Tinsulanonda as witnesses.[93]

Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi

On 28 July 2019, Vajiralongkorn bestowed the title of "Chao Khun Phra" or Majestic Noble Consort, and the royal name of Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi, to Major General Niramon Ounprom; the occasion marked the first official naming of a secondary consort for nigh a century.[94] 3 months later, on 21 October 2019, a palace lodge stripped Sineenat of her title and ranks, stating that she had been disrespectful to Queen Suthida and disloyal to the rex.[95] On 2 September 2020, Sineenat'southward titles were restored with a declaration that she "is not tarnished" and "Henceforth, it will exist as if she had never been stripped of her military ranks or royal decorations".[96]
